Abstract

The exhibition “The Future of Objects” explores
how technological evolution can transform and redefine everyday objects. By presenting objects with unfamiliar forms and functions, the exhibition aims to expand perceptions of future objects and stimulate creative and critical thinking among visitors. The exhibition showcases three types of objects: “Perceptive Objects”, “Cognitive Objects”, and “Communicative Objects” with projection-based data art. Each object, in sequence, demonstrates the ability to actively perceive users and its environment, process the information to form high-dimensional context, and ultimately express the results. This progression explores the potential for objects to transcend their traditional roles, evolving into entities capable of thinking, reacting, and fostering new forms of interaction with humans. Through this exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the new roles and meanings that technology imparts to objects, imagining the potential impacts these future objects might have on our lives.
